“If one thinks in a serene and lucid way, we know that the electoral process is a target. We avoided an attack in Marseille, and there was one, even before the first round. Unfortunately the week is not over and between the two…so it is quite possible that terrorism will come back into the campaign and in any case even if that doesn’t happen, as we will all hope, I think that from now until the second round security will be at the center of all the debates, said Claude Moniquet, a former French intelligence agent.
